Oh Christmas Tree

I am really loving my tree this year! The kids mostly decorated it, I will admit I am a decoration control freak... so letting them decorate it was a little hard for me but I am trying to work on my control issues. ;)
I have to say that is was nice and went well. I like structure, perfection and time lines, in the last couple months I have tried to let it all go. I think there is more to life then trying to make sure everything is as close to perfect as possible..right?? It is all about the kids and making sure they have fun. They loved all of Nathans old ornaments. Patti gave us all of Nathans ornaments she had made and bought over his child years. It is so sweet to see all the cute ones she made. They all have a year on them. I wish I could find the time to make stuff like that!! Maybe when we move to Iowa???
Anyway it was great fun. I even played Christmas music! When it was all done and most of the decorations where on the bottom half of the tree I just giggled inside and thought it looks great..... then I fixed it and added some to the top half of the tree. Here are some pics of the Tree and some decorations around the house.
The most important thing to remember..Jesus
What Nathan would rather be doing...lol

Kick off to Christmas

Yesterday we ventured off to Thornton's Tree Farm to get us a Christmas tree. It is a little tradition we started our first Christmas married to go with Nathan's parents to the tree farm. Last year we got to share it with Tracie and Ricky, they were here for Thanksgiving and Christmas because Tracie was pregnant with Isa. It was a great couple months!
I kinda went off track a little.. so anyway we went and found a tree, pet and feed the animals and drank some hot coca. The kids had a great time. Madison and Trinity were so excited over the animals. They both loved feeding them, Madison was running around petting all of them, luckily Gama was there to help=) It was lots of fun.
It is a nice little farm=)
Here are some pics. Enjoy!
Madison had to push sissy!

It was a beautiful day!

Swfit change of plans!

*8:17am* He is here!!!!!! Cherissa did good, she pushed for a little over an hour. Baby Treyzon is here and healthy and all is well!
CONGRATULATIONS!! I love you!

*7:00am* She is pushing!! Let's hope this baby comes fast!!!

*3:30am* Cherissa had to have her epidural removed and put back in. It now is working properly and she feels no pain! They just started pitocin(I hate that stuff) to help move things along, thank goodness! I am really tired but I drank a Redbull and wow did it ever give me wings.. well the shakes mostly=) I will be back with another update as soon as there is progress.

*2am* I was planning to blog about Thanksgiving tonight but at about 5pm I got a text message from my cousin letting me know she was in labor, at the hospital, and they were admitting her. So I took a shower got all my gear together and headed out. I got here at about 10pm. Not much has changed thus far. She is dilated to a five and got an epidural, for some reason the epidural is not working in her back and left side so they are in the process of trying to figure out why. They have tried a couple things and nothing is working. They are talking about taking it out and trying again!! Yikes..

I will keep this updated as things go. I feel like I am a pro at this! Cherissa will be the fourth person in the last 11 months that I have been threw this with! All I have to say about that is WOW this is good birth control!
Here is a pic of the beautiful Momma!

Mountain air is good for the soul

We made a point to make it up to the mountain before the snow hit. We usually make a trip once a month, but we got a couple trips in the last two weekends! Three to be exact! It is so beautiful up there, the sound of fresh water running, the quiet! Oh the quiet is so nice!
I just love the time we have together when we go for these drives. Madison and Trinity just love it so much! Nathan has taken the girls up there a couple times alone and let them get all dirty and play in the earth, and walk around in the woods, Madison has even shot his .22! (She came back that day saying mommy I shot the shotgun shotgun shotgun!! lol)
Nathan has said that he can do everything with his girls he could do with a son, i think it is so true. I am going to have a couple of pretty cool girls! They will be girly girl like me and a have a rough side thanks to there dad, how cool!
When we went up to the Mountain on Sunday the fog was thick in town, when we got up to a higher elevation it looked like there was no city and we were on top of clouds! It was so beautiful. I got a few pictures I will share at the of the post.
We had a great time. I love being able to go to the Ocean one weekend and the Mountains the next. Washington is a beautiful State.
I will miss this place when we venture off to Iowa, but am excited to see what new beauty we will find there.

She loved her stick!

My baby is 13!

Alexis Kate was born on November 23, 1995 at 5:34pm she weighed 6lbs 14oz. It was Thanksgiving and I had so much to be thankful for. She gave me a really hard time for the 24 hours before she arrived but and has been a joy every since (well most of the time).

I can not tell you how crazy it is for me to see my little tiny baby become a teenager. She has such a beautiful spirit, she is full of life and has a big heart. I thank God for her everyday. She changed my life in so many ways.
I am so excited to see her grow into a woman and see her go threw life experiences, get married, have children of her own see the world. For now I will stick with slumber parties, ice cream socials, Bff's and all things 13! She is truly an amazing girl!

We had a slumber party for her Birthday, there was about 13 kids here. About 15 minutes after they all got here and started having fun her friend Stephanie broke her wrist in two spots, she fell down the stairs! Pretty crazy stuff! Accidents happen and all turned out well. I am thinking I will hold off on having that many kids over again for awhile.

Alexis had a great time and I think she will never forget it =)
