A day at the Farmers Market and park

Today was beautiful! It was just the right temp out. We went to a few garage sales, but didn't find anything=( We headed down to the Farmers Market to play in the water with Kelli and her kids. We played in the water for bit, Madison was so overwhelmed by all the people! She was not sure what to think. She loved playing in the water with Alexia, she followed her every where. Which was not\ so good some times, cuz that girl likes to climb. I am so happy Madison didn't fall or anything. We called it quits after a bit.We walked across the park to the Farmers Market and to the little park area. We ate some Kettle corn and corn dogs. The corn dog was nasty but the kettle corn was really good! I love that stuff.

There were lots of dogs there! Alexa was asking politely to pet them and hold them it was cute. One lady didn't really want to her to touch the dog but Alexa did anyway..oops
I love all the people and colors at the Market. There is such a great ambiance there, people are playing music, singing, playing at the park, there is this wonderful smell in the air whether it be the kettle corn, or hot Cinnamon almonds or chicken skewers. I love it. The flowers are beautiful, the veggies look so fresh. It is great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. I think we will be going back often now that it is staying nice out.
Thank Goodness for Summer!
This is Esther Short. The Park is named after her.
I love this smile.

Chasing Chickens

I am so happy that my girls love animals. They get that from there dad. I am not too fond of animals. I do love the chickens and bunnies, but only cuz they stay out side. Dogs, cats, hamsters etc. are not welcome in this house. I will be ok with having a dog or two once we move to Iowa and have a Farm. I will be ok with a cat too. They just will not be inside pets. They will have there homes outside. I do want a little york shire terrier that I would allow in the house... maybe???
Madison and Trinity love the bunnies and chickens. When a chicken escapes from there area Trinity loves to chase them around. This girl has no fear, she will be a stunt double or extreme sports pro for sure some day
Madison on the other had screams and runs "no chicken no eat meeeeee" heehee she is so funny.
Yesterday was great out it got up to 100 degrees! We played in the yard.. I got a pool and slip n slide for the kids. They had a blast. We had a BBQ and enjoyed the nice weather. I do have to say that 100 is a little too hot. Right now it is about 80 out with a breeze and that is perfect!

Enjoy some pictures of the girls chasing the chicken and playing in the yard.

Make these!

They are Jalapeno bacon wrap things. I found them on this website http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/ You have to make them! I made them last night. I served them with steak and pasta salad, but I made a jelly for dipping. I mixed blackberry jam with jalapeno jelly and warmed it up in the microwave. So delish!
All you need is cream cheese, bacon and lots of jalapenos!
Start with a jalapeno. Hello, jalapeno! Try to find ones that are 2 to 3 inches long; not too big. Slice the jalapeno in half length-wise. With a spoon, gently scrape out the seeds and white membranes. This process moves pretty quickly. If you’re impervious to the spiciness, you can leave a little membrane and/or a couple of seeds inside. If you prefer things a little on the mild side, go ahead and clean ‘em out reeeeel gooooood. Now cut the bacon slices into thirds. I usually just go ahead and cut the whole package at once. I like shortcuts. Now unwrap the softened cream cheese and your assembly line is all set! Now start smearing cream cheese inside each jalapeno half. Just keep going until you have the quantity you want. That’s the great thing about this recipe: you can make as few as two or as many as 49,382! There’s no huge commitment. Now take a piece (1/3 slice) of bacon and wrap it around the jalapeno. Wrap it snugly, but not too tightly. Keep going until you’re finished. Now stick a toothpick through the middle of each one; this will keep the bacon from coming off in the oven. Place them on a pan with a rack (so bacon grease can escape) and bake at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes. These are so divine, you should seriously consider making four or five times the quantity you think you’ll need.

Mothers day Week

Last week was eventful! I had four different Mothers day celebrations. First we celebrated with Cheryl on Tuesday. We all went to Chevy's for Dinner and then back to Nana's for a little bit. It was really nice to spend some time with Cheryl. We do not get to see her as often, as we use to. She was so happy to see Madison and Trinity! She just loves them.

Friday was nice, I during the day had my first official paying photo shoot, with Trisha's' kids. We went to Officers row. I got some great shots! I was really happy how they turned out. I think she was happy too. Later in the afternoon, I had another photo shoot with Sondra's baby boy. It was really nice out and we got some great shots in the park.
Friday night I went to my Brother's for a bit. We had a celebrate mother’s day party, but I was the only mom there so I think it was just an excuse to have a party..lol
Saturday was fun, we went to Dinner with Nathan's Parents at Red Lobster... sooooo yummy! Alexis, & Brandon both had crab, I am so glad they enjoy stuff like that. I would never at 12 years old touched crab. We had a nice time Celebrating Patti. I just love her so much. I wish we had more time together, since she got a new job and we moved across town I just don't see her as much as I would like. Jon and I had the Ultimate Feast..and it sure lived up to it's name. It was Lobster, crab, & two kinds of shrimp! It was soo yummy. I shared a lot with everyone. It was too much for just one person. Madison got Mac and Cheese with Tree's she liked the broccoli aka treees=)
Sunday I spent the day with my Mom and Brother. We went to lunch at T.G.I.Friday's Then went to Big Al's to hang out. I thought for sure it was going to be really busy, but it was nice and quiet. Not too many people were there. I was guessing because what mom wants to go to a loud bowling, arcade for Mothers Day.. not me. I went cuz that is where everyone wanted to go. I would have chosen a spa or something.. lol We hung out there for a couples hours, chatted and had a few laughs at Logan and Ryan. Daniel got him a whoopee cushion with the tickets they accumulated, it was so funny he kept blowing it up and then squeezing it at Logan. Logan was cracking up. It was so cute! I got this shot of Ryan when he wasn't paying attention. I stick a barrette in his hair, so so funny. He is going to kill me some day for this.
After that I came home and picked up the gang, we all went for Ice cream at DQ then came home and called it a night. Wow what a weekend! I think I am ready for a nice quiet weekend. I am sure that will not happen for awhile but oh well. It was worth it.
I hope you all remembered your Mothers this weekend. It is so important to take one day a year out and make her feel special. We dedicate our life to the people we love, it is nice to know that even when it is hard, or sometimes when you what to throw in the towel the people around us love us and appreciate us more then we think and it make it worth all the hard times. I think Mothers Day jump starts us in to gear for the next year. =) Love you all!

Monday mornings.... Why do we have them again?

Need I say more? I am not one to complain...well maybe I am=) I just like sleep and when you have two girls a year apart that are 1 & 2, the wonderful world of sleep is just not apart of your life. I do get to sleep in one day a week. Nathan is kind enough to give me one day to pretend I am childless. I treasure that morning more then any one could ever know. I love the girls, and our time together... but the love affair I have with sleep makes me wish I would have cherished our time together oh so much more. LOL... OK OK I will stop.
On a more serious note, I did a pregnancy shoot
this weekend. I went and bought back drops at the fabric store and figured out a way to hang them up in my living room. I put Nathan to work screwing in 19 hooks...(I don't think he was thrilled about it, I am lucky he loves me.) it worked out great! Kelii came and took a lot of shots! We tried a lot of ideas I had, and most of them turned out great! Her four year old daughter came with her, I got some great pics of her kissing the belly and tickling the belly, sooo cute. I am excited to say I have booked two wedding so far for the summer, and I have my first paid shoot coming up. It is such an amazing feeling to have this work out, that a dream you have had for a long, long time be unfolding right in front of you. I was not sure at first if people would be willing to let me use them as guinea pigs, but they love it! Thank goodness!
I have a shoot today in the park with my nephew, and another right after with a friend. I can use all the practice I can get. My friend Amber does hair so we will be trading our talents.
Here is a couple shots from this weekend.

New Adventure

Today was a great day. I got my web site up and running. It still needs a lot of work but it will be looking great soon. I could not ask for more right now. Things are really falling into place.
I have a lot of people who want me to take pictures of there kids, family, personal, I even booked a wedding today. I told her that I need the practice and since it is my first one I will do it as a gift to her. Weddings make me a little nervous, but I will have learned a lot more by the time I shoot her wedding.
I have so much to be thankful for. I have always wanted to do this. I never before thought that my love for photos would go beyond my kids, family, and friends. I love to scrapbook too, it may be one of the biggest reasons I wanted to get in to this. I have in the last six months spent around $700 on Professional photographers so that I have the all the best photos for my kids scrapbooks! Well let me just tell you, there will never be any more of that! I realized I can take just as good of photos if not better! I just want to thank everyone for your continued support. I love all the complements you have given. This has for sure been a great confidence booster! I just hope to live up to everyone expectations=)
Here is a link to my Web site
http://sassystudios.typepad.com/ it is still undergoing final touches. It will be in tip top shape soon. I will let you know when it is all done.

Great Weekend Fun!

This weekend was soooo much fun! Friday night we went out to dinner at Joe's Crab shack with my Dad and Tammy. We had the Crab Daddy feast! It was really good. Saturday morning we went and said hi to Grandma and Grandpa Heuton. While the girls were napping I went and got an Iphone! It is really cool I am so excited!< After lunch, and the girls naps we drove all over Portland to a few car lots looking for a new Suburban for Nathan. He is wanting a 1991-99 style, it has to be lifted and have good tires. Well the couple we saw online were gone when we got to the lot. So we just drove around hoping to spot one... well we didn't, and after about four hours in the car it was time to head home. The girls went to bed and what was supost to be our date night turned into helping my dad fix Tammy's car. It was fine no big deal! We just planed on having a date afternoon on Sunday=) And we did. We went to Ramono's Macaroni Grill. It was really yuumie! I had Chicken Scalopine. Nathan had the Lasagna. I brought my camera along encase any good opportunities presented them self. Well we decided to go to the Rose Garden after lunch to take some pictures. I was amazed at the quality of pictures my camera can take, and that I am learning to understand my camera more and use it better. I will be posting some shots in this post. Then after lunch with my sweetie and a nice walk at the Rose Garden we headed back home. Daniel invited us over for a BBQ so we picked up Madison and, went over there for a few hours. It was lots of fun! Ryan was there and a few other kids so Madison had a blast. She was really good too. I had so much fun taking pictures! I am not sure if everyone was getting sick of me or not but I didn't care, and I am sure they won't either when they see the great shots I got! I hope you enjoy them as well. Please leave me some feed back. I am just getting started doing this and having so much fun too. I would love to hear your advice or tips=) Hope everyone had a good weekend=)

Photoshope CS3

Today I got to mess around with PhotoShop, and my new Camera. I have to say never before did I think I could have this much fun taking pictures and editing them. I was blog stalking the different Photography blogs and different links from other peoples blog. I found this SITE, it is amazing! She has all different blogs, recipes, Photography, and Home and Garden. She has step by step instructions on how to use PhotoShop, and her recipes.I just love it! I got so much information out of her blog. I read for hours!
As I was reading, I was editing some pictures I had taken, and taking pictures to edit.

Here is what I did. Let me know what you think. Be honest. I am new at this and really want the feed back=) I had so much fun today!

My blue eyed girl. Used the blurring tool and sharpened her eyes, a little she has beautiful eyes already!
Just me being silly. Enhanced colors and sharpened a couple things.
Used Lightroom to edit this one. She looks about five years older now.
I enhanced the colors of this one.
Made some changes to the color and to Trinity's eyes.
I sharpened Dawn's eyes.
Didn't do much to this one just used North light.
